CAT or Common Admission Test is the most eminent entrance exam to get enrolled in the most prestigious business management schools in India. Most of the top Business Schools are tied with Common Admission Tests to admit students to various management courses. Jointly conducted by IIMs to select candidates for its MBA programs, CAT scores are the most accepted scores in India to get enrolled in MBA programs in many prestigious institutes of India.
Candidates aspiring to become business
management professionals generally do sit for CAT exams in the hope of getting
admissions in the most reputed institutes of India. The exam that is conducted
since 1950 is of 3 hr duration that examines candidates’ knowledge in
Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Verbal Ability,
Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Analytical Reasoning.
The grade score range is between 0 and 400,
which is valid for one year. One should have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
with at least 50% marks. For reserved categories, it is 45% only. Final year
graduate students too can apply for this entrance exam.
However, there are many institutes and
business schools that conduct their entrance test and group discussions. Few
institutes conduct their entrance exams under XAT, MAT, NMAT, and GATE.
Candidates who are unable to score the necessary marks to get enrolled in IIMs
and institutes that give relevance to only CAT exams can opt for MBA
colleges without CAT.
Apart from the Common Admission Test that is
conducted by IIMs, candidates can also appear for XAT, MAT, NMAT, GATE, and
other similar entrance tests that are recognized by the management colleges in
India. People looking out for admission in Rajasthan MBA colleges can try their
luck in MBA colleges in Jaipur
without CAT.
MBA colleges today have become exceedingly
commonplace and an MBA degree from any ordinary college is not hard to come by.
However, such a degree or a university serves no fruitful purpose and there is
no value addition to your skills and interests. Accordingly, one must select
colleges along the lines of prioritizing exposure and a good placement record.
